The thing to remember is how long it took for HD to take off - and a lot, if not most people don't see the benefit. 3D is an even more difficult thing to sell - I just can't see my mum sitting in her living room watching Coronation Street whilst wearing 3D glasses. She hasn't even got an HD TV yet so 3D is way off. I completely agree. It'll still be too expensive to own even a single pair of glasses, let alone the costs to make and distribute the content. The single biggest factor will be to somehow make wearing glasses (or viewing in general) unobtrusive and without making you look like a dufus when you're wearing them. The consumer electronics and film/tv industries are going to push ahead with it whether we are ready or not. It’ll still be too expensive to own even a single pair of glasses, let alone the costs to make and distribute the content.
