Jamaica Inn Documentary
When we decided to include a film on Cornish smuggling and Daphne Du Maurier for our new museum here at Jamaica Inn, we looked at several options and in the end chose Cherry. It was a good decision. They were totally professional, a pleasure to work with, and produced a top quality production that adds enormously to the overall experience of visiting Jamaica Inn. I am happy to recommend them to others.
Kevin Moore, Managing Director, Jamaica Inn.

Cherry were invited to the legendary Cornish coach house Jamaica Inn by the owner's PR agency – Tradewinds. After a delightful if frantic location-scouting trip in early summer, we returned for three days of shooting, both at the inn and countywide. The result was a short-form documentary, examining the fascinating history of smuggling in Cornwall, and Jamaica Inn's links to the so called "free traders",as immortalised in Daphne DuMaurier's classic novel of the same name. Working closely with Tradewinds PR we sourced all footage, shooting our own where possible, including extensive GVs, interviews and historical re-enactments. Glorious HD images made the most of Cornwall's beautiful landscapes, and will help to ensure the film's longevity in its purpose built screening theatre at the Jamaica Inn Museum of Smuggling.
